Isaac Biddlecomb series

Post by Astrodene on Sun 14 Sep 2008, 23:00

I have not read any of this series, but as they are set during the American War of Independence and written from the American point of view they are on my wish list. I enjoyed Dan Parkinson's Dalton series which had the same setting so I look forward to reading them.

I enjoyed the series, myself, and hope the author will be able to make a return to it.

James Nelson is by far the best american novelist currently dwelling in nautical fiction. Wonderful stuff - a must read. I particularly enjoy how well his seamanship is displayed in his detailed writing.

I'm up to his 4th Bittlecomb novel and am looking forward to much more to come.
