RPG announcement

Post by Astrodene on Sun 21 Aug 2011, 03:52

As there is some interest in Role Play Gaming I have started a poll to establish who is interested. There is a new section, the Gundeck, where the threads so far have been moved.

I would like all members views on this subject and also whether this section should be accessed via a special grouping so that those not interested and don't wish to see the posts don't have to. so new members are aware that it's there such restriction would probably just be for the game threads not the general chat?

Role Play Gaming is a new one on me. I can't pretend to feel any attraction (although I have played computer simulation games in the past, Age of Sail, East India Company, etc, and they were quite fun). I would be inclined to give it a section and allow it to be accessed as normal to start with. If it really takes off, and there are a great number of posts, restricted access would be a good idea.

I would think that as it has its own sub-forum I don't see why it would ever have to be "accessed" by some type of grouping for certain members.

If one is not interested in the games being run then no one is forced to look into said sub-forum.

Plus when it comes down to it you want as many non-members looking into it. As if they are interested/curious about Age of Fighting Sail RPG type games and can see the posts made for a game in progress. They just might join up here to eventually play the next game, and contribute in other ways as well.

Cheers

Tom
