Norrie's Navigation

Post by Astrodene on Sat 02 May 2009, 13:14

As you know I add non-fiction books to the website as well. I thought I might look at those books which get a mention as being used by the officers in various novels. The first that sprung to mind was Norrie's Navigation.

Now you would think based on the number of times this is mentioned there would be a lot of copies but searching google it is hardly mentioned at all and is not for sale anywhere. Perhaps it has a more formal title or I'm missing something?

Anyone come accross it?

That would be John William Norie. He wrote a number of books, but you are probably thinking of The Epitome of Practical Navigation.
