Admiral's Log
Once again it's time for some updates to the site. Yesterday I upgraded the releases calendar, and there is now a new tag system.
Something I have wanted to do for some time is create author pages for some of the other sections such as pirate fiction, however the way the software is designed would have meant creating multple pages where the author writes in more than one genre. Fortunately a fix has become available where pages can be tagged and listed based on those tags.
I am using this to create a list of all authors who have specifically written for young adults, which can be found in the web site menu under authors A-Z.
I will work on author pages for Pirate Fiction, Non-fiction etc so that these lists will be populated over a period of time. Other listings may be for specialist interest including Royal Marine specific, books that are HNF mixed with fantacy or sci-fi, books with principle characters who are gay etc.
If anyone would like to see a particular type of listing please let me know.

Re: Admiral's Log
The related books section and the sublistings for HNF authors have been completed. I will now be working on the other genre's section. The non fiction books are currently in one long listing, 33 pages!. I am thinking of dividing this up a bit, possibly into 4 or more sections - Biographical - Battles - Ships & Design - The rest. Any views on what the sub-sections should be?

Re: Admiral's Log
As you may have noticed the non-fiction books are now divided so I have moved on to adding the author pages for the Pirate Fiction.
Behind the scenes the software that the site is built with is undergoing a major revision. The core has been released and I am now waiting for the various add ons I use to be updated. As this is a complete rebuild the graphics and layouts are changing so I am also customising that so it's ready when the time comes to upgrade.
A sneak preview of the new graphics though they may change!

- Spoiler:
- The aim of this design is to reduce the height of the page headings so that you can see more content before scrolling down.
