Short Vid Showing a Chilean View of Cochrane

Post by Maturin y Domanova on Mon 09 May 2011, 13:38

Here is an actor playing the part of Lord Cochrane in a little educational play to teach some history. Of course it's extra surreal to hear a Scottish nobleman speaking broken English with a Chilean Spanish accent.

Thank you for sharing! This is entertaining. Especially the list of suggestions on the right side, showing that the Chileans are not less than obsessed with Cochrane. Smile

I know that there are still a number of landmarks named for him. Interestingly enough I showed this to a Bolivian friend of mine today and she said "who?". Apparently his fame does not extend to neighboring countries. She was vaguely familiar with Bernardo O'Higgins though.

The best thing about this group is that not only did you all know what the heck I was talking about when I shared a Chilean video about Lord Cochrane, but you also recognized just how neat it was!
