Nelson's hat?

Re: Nelson's hat?
So? Is it like the splinters of the Cross that were so prevalent during the middle ages?
Are there 50 pubs in the south of England, each with their own cap?
I see no mention of provenance ...
Still, even without provenance, it looks like it's in good condition and might be neat to own simply as a hat from the era.

Yes, if it is really from the era it would be a good buy, but I has my suspicions...
Re: Nelson's hat?
I've just contacted the seller who says he doubts that the hat was anywhere near Nelson and that he suspects it was a replica made for the bar.
Does anyone know if Nelson was buried in uniform? Is it possible that someone possesses the uniform he was wearing when shot?

Yes, the uniform is on display at the National Maritime Museum. I think the shot that accounted for him is in Windsor castle (Why?), but I'm not sure about that.
