After settling deeply into the John Pearce Series now for several years, it is noteworthy that author Donachie has launched a new HNF series; The Contraband Series. First volume The Contraband Shore is available in paper and Kindle from Amazon. Nothing like 'the world of Smugglers' to backdrop your action.

I read this and it kept me enthralled despite its being entirely land-based. However, I hated the "ending"

Author Donachie has continued the Contraband Series with A Lawless Place in 2018 and Blood Will Out recently released in Jan 2019.

Could this mean that the John Pearce Series will soon have run its course ?
