Re: The Yellow Admiral, Kindle ebook, page 53, the joke played on the English soldier accompanying Stephen, by the Austrian Dr. von Leibig, about a ghost with a beard.

I think, since von Leibig isn't fluent in English, he was making fun of the soldier and his pale skin. But I don't know so I humbly ask what I am not grasping here!
