Companions that are not mentioned in HNF list
I am the happy owner of three companion books to O'brian's series, that do not seem to appear in the relevant list here in HNF. I thought it would be useful to share their names.
1. Patrick O'Brian's Navy: The Illustrated Companion to Jack Aubrey's World [Hardcover]
Richard O'Neill (Author)
http://www.amazon.com/Patrick-OBrians-Navy-Illustrated-Companion/dp/0762415401
2. Men-of-War: Life in Nelson's Navy [Hardcover]
Patrick O'Brian

3. The World Of Jack Aubrey [Hardcover]
David Miller

Re: Companions that are not mentioned in HNF list
I guess it depends on what you call a companion book, the fact they use the word 'Aubrey' in the title to hook fans of the series to my mind does not neccessarily make them a companion, they may be just a non-fiction work about the period. I tend to call them a companion if they physically discuss the work of the author, content of the books etc. not just real life facts about the world his books inhabit.
The first one seems to be a companion and I will add it.
The second is already listed on the site as non-fiction (scroll to the bottom of the authors page)
The third seems to be non-fiction work just using the name unless from reading it you know something different. In any event it will need adding to the site somewhere.
Thanks for pointing them out.

Re: Companions that are not mentioned in HNF list
Possibly, I need some guidance here.
I have what I considered a "companion book" to the Aubrey-Maturin novels, Harbors and High Seas by Dean King, but I'm unable to find it listed in any threads..........have I missed it?
