Katherine -

If you will use the link that Alaric has given us, the society's website page will come up for you to see. Look on that page for a line that mentions the society's latest edition of their 'Newsletter' and it will say "Reflections 23. Place your 'pointer' over that 'Reflections 23' and click on it.

It will take several seconds for it to download the society's latest edition of their newsletter, so be patient. If it doesn't work for you, let us know.

The latest issue of Reflections, the C.S. Forester Society's newsletter publication (March 2013) is out and available to be read 'online'. I'm finding these articles to be very 'insightful'.

I do recommend that any interested in C.S. Forester and his novels, take the opportunity to join the society with the "Free Offer" of an E-membership.

The link to get started is shown above in Alaric's original posting.

If you'd like to 'briefly' step into the pages of Hornblower's  adventure in France while fleeing the French with Lieutenant Bush and Brown (Flying Colours), the C.S. Forester society is holding it's annual meeting 27-29 September 2013 at Chateau de Gracey (AKA Chateau de Vaux) in Nevers on the river Loire. The itinerary is available on the societies website (see Alaric's post above) and it sounds like a 'tour de force' for the Hornblower (and AOS) affectionado. Hope at least one of our crew can make it and 'report back'.

For those shipmates who have taken advantage of membership in the C.S. Forester Society you have possibly be notified:

Dr. Colin Blogg, founder of the society passed away on 29 Aug 2015. We owe him much for his efforts and the knowledge and enjoyment he provided us.

As an 'early reader' of C.S. Forester, to include Hornblower, membership has been a definite "plus" to my education of this author. For any not yet members, I recommend you take advantage of an "E membership" as it's quick, effortless and the benefits are many.

The 2015 annual meeting of the C.S. Forester Society will be held in Portsmouth. What a wonderful venue to share with others who have enjoyed the author's works.

For those 'members' that couldn't make it to the 2016 AGM and those who may not yet have joined 'the society' (and I urge you to as membership is 'free').

Here was your chance to "pull on a rope" :
